Marina and Orlando are in love and planning for the future. Marina is a young waitress and aspiring singer. Orlando is 20 years older than her, and owns a printing company. After celebrating Marina's birthday one evening, Orlando falls seriously ill. Marina rushes him to the emergency room, but he passes away just after arriving at the hospital. Instead of being able to mourn her lover, suddenly Marina is treated with suspicion. The doctors and Orlando's family don't trust her. A woman detective investigates Marina to see if she was involved in his death. Orlando's ex-wife forbids her from attending the funeral. And to make matters worse, Orlando's son threatens to throw Marina out of the flat she shared with Orlando. Marina is a trans woman and for most of Orlando's family, her sexual identity is an aberration, a perversion. So Marina struggles for the right to be herself. She battles the very same forces that she has spent a lifetime fighting just to become the woman she is now - a complex, strong, forthright and fantastic woman.

Amid rallies, protests, fierce debates and ecstatic dance parties, the newcomer Nathan falls in love with Sean, the group's radical firebrand, and their passion sparks against the shadow of mortality as the activists fight for a breakthrough.

TREBLINKA is a film essay based on the memoirs by Chil Rajchman, «Treblinka: a survivor’s memory». Chil Rajchman, a Polish Jew, was arrested with his younger sister in 1942 and sent to Treblinka, a death camp where more than 750,000 were murdered before it was abandoned by German soldiers. His sister was sent to the gas chambers, but Rajchman escaped execution, working for ten months under incessant threats and beatings as a barber, a clothes-sorter, a corpse-carrier, a puller of teeth from those same bodies. In August 1943, there was an uprising at the camp, and Rajchman was among the handful of men who managed to escape. In 1945, he set down this unique testimony, which has remained in the sole possession of his family ever since.

Christian é o respeitado curador de um museu de arte contemporânea; homem divorciado e bom pai dos seus dois filhos, conduz um carro eléctrico e apoia boas causas. A sua próxima exposição, "O Quadrado", é uma instalação que pretende evocar o altruísmo em quem a vê, recordando-nos o nosso papel enquanto seres humanos responsáveis pelos nossos congéneres. Mas às vezes é difícil viver à altura dos nossos ideais: a resposta incauta de Christian ao roubo do seu telefone vai conduzi-lo a situações das quais ele se envergonha. Entretanto, os Relações Públicas do museu criam uma campanha inesperada para "O Quadrado". A reacção é inflamada e lança Christian, bem como o próprio museu, numa crise existencial.(Alambique)
